Vienna’s Urban Waterfront: Explore Otto Wagner and the inner city beaches
Starting at Wallensteinplatz, a square designed for a high quality of stay, the tour will continue along the Danube Canal with its attractive walking paths, parks and street furniture. The master plan “Zielgebiet Donaukanal” (“Target Area Danube Canal”) as well as the specifics of the development of this urban area will be presented in this Walkshop. The participants will see multifunctional furniture, the club ‘Flex’, the pool boat and the boat terminal ‘Vienna City’ with the integrated dining option at the restaurant ‘Motto am Fluss’”, which show the results of active management in the target area Danube Canal. The walking tour ends at Urania, a historic observatory built in the Otto Wagner period, with an exclusive view of the beach bar Herrmann – which is, according to the travel magazine Conde-Nast-Traveller, the second-best bar in the world.
