Cabinet Member of Commissioner Bulc at the European Commission
Andreja Kodrin serves as Economic Advisor and Cabinet Member of Commissioner Bulc at the European Commission since January 2015. She incorporated her first company at the age of 20 while still a student. After graduation she served as the Head of Investments, Finances and Economics in a multinational engineering company. In 1997 she joined private equity firm for investment banking and become CFO a year later.
In 2002 Andreja moved to the Netherlands and became Group CFO and Board Director of AKTIVA HOLDINGS BV. She lead multiple acquisitions and mergers and was a member of several supervisory boards of companies, venture funds, banks, and pension funds in the Netherlands, USA, UK, Switzerland, Luxemburg, Serbia, and Slovenia.
In 2009 she founded Challenge:Future, a global platform for youth open innovation with 36,000 members from 213 countries. The network comprises 1,800 faculties and business schools and 64 local hubs worldwide. For the results achieved on a global scale, she gained SEA of Excellence Award in 2013.
Andreja obtained a Master degree in 1997 and is finishing her PhD research. She has attended executive programs at INSEAD, Harvard Business School, and IMD.
