Executive Director, Link Place
Sara Stace established Link Place, a consultancy focused on urban policy, transport and urban design. Recently she prepared an ‘Active Travel Framework’ for the ACT Government; and a paper for the federal government on ‘Urban Development, Housing and Liveability’ for Infrastructure Australia’s National Infrastructure Audit.
Prior to founding Link Place, Ms Stace worked in the Australian government. She led six years of policy development and reform; wrote three new national policies; led the best-practice assessment of a national funding program; worked with advisory bodies reporting to the Council of Australian Governments; forged agreement with major stakeholders across government and industry; and made strategic recommendations to the Department of Infrastructure. Ms Stace also wrote, and contributed significantly to, ten major government publications, averaging a publication every six months.
Ms Stace was previously General Manager of an ASX-listed property fund. She is a registered Architect and has a Master of Business Administration (AGSM).
Ms Stace has received many national awards including a National Planning Award from the Planning Institute of Australia, National Bicycling Achievement Award, public service Australia Day Achievement Award and Secretary’s Award, Banksia Environmental Award, and the Australian Institute of Architects ‘Special Jury Award’.
